This 49 year old female patient from Chula Vista was referred to Dr. Mofid by her primary care physician for post-mastectomy reconstruction after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Mofid recommended a free TRAM flap reconstruction to her right breast, and a latissimus dorsi flap reconstruction with tissue expander to her right breast. Four months after the second procedure, Dr. Mofid replaced the tissue expander with a silicone implant and performed a bilateral nipple areola reconstruction with skate flaps to complete the three-stage reconstruction. Final pictures were taken 6 weeks after the surgery.
