Browlift in San Diego
The browlift, also known as a forehead lift, is a procedure that restores youthful smoothness to the area above the eyes. The sad, tired, or angry look enhance into a refreshed, restored, and replenished look. Dr. Mark Mofid alters the browlift procedure based on the individual needs of each patient. In many cases, he corrects drooping brows and reduces creases in the forehead area. In many cases, Dr. Mark Mofid performs Endoscopic Browlifts where smaller incisions are made within the hairline rather across the entire scalp as with conventional open or coronal browlifts. The incisions are much smaller allowing for a less invasive approach and making recovery time much shorter. A smooth and lifted brow area can make a patient look significantly younger without lending an unnatural look to the face. Patients who would like a digital imaging preview of how they will look after browlift surgery may contact Dr. Mark Mofid’s plastic surgery practice to schedule a Browlift consultation. Patients interested in cosmetic face, body, or breast surgery may also visit his La Jolla office for more information on financing or to learn more about the cost of his procedures. More Information about Browlift – By Dr. Mofid
Endoscopic brow lifting procedures are performed using minimally invasive techniques through small incisions within the hair-bearing scalp in order to raise the forehead and change the brow position to a more aesthetically pleasing position.
These procedures are typically performed in an outpatient surgical basis within 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
Good candidates for this procedure include patients that have brow ptosis and forehead wrinkles, as well as those patients suffering from significant wrinkles between the eyebrows also known as the number 11 lines or corrugator creases.
Realistic expectations for patients undergoing endoscopic brow lifting procedures include having a more aesthetically pleasing position to their eyebrows and decreased forehead wrinkles.
The typical recovery time for surgery is approximately 1 week prior to return to work, approximately 2-1/2 weeks prior to return to moderate exercise, and approximately 4 weeks to return to all normal activities with no limitations.
I perform endoscopic brow lifting procedures using the Endotine device, devices made of absorbable materials through small monocortical drill holes that suspend the brows to the desired position.
Endoscopic brow lifting can be performed in conjunction with endoscopic midface lifting. A copy of a journal article on endoscopic facial surgery may be viewed under the publications tab on our website.
