56 year old patient from San Diego underwent a mastectomy of her right breast after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Following the procedure, she was referred to Dr. Mofid for breast reconstructive surgery. After meeting with Dr. Mofid, she decided to move forward with a right breast reconstructive surgery with a tissue expander, per Dr. Mofid’s recommendation. Four months later, Dr. Mofid continued the reconstructive process with a second surgery to remove the tissue expander and replace it with a silicone implant; in addition, he performed a breast reduction on her left breast in order to achieve a more symmetrical appearance. This patient received her final surgery a few months later in order to construct her right nipple through reconstruction with a skate flap, using a donor skin graft from her inner thigh, providing a complete and full result.
