45 year old female from San Diego was referred to Dr. Mofid by her primary care physician for reconstructive surgery on her right breast after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Dr. Mofid proposed a immediate breast reconstruction with tissue expanders following a mastectomy. During a period of 4 months the tissue expanders were filled to a desired size. Once the patient achieved the size they liked, the second stage for surgery was performed to remove the tissue expander and replace it with a silicone implant. Dr. Mofid performed the final surgery seven months later to reconstruct her right nipple, using a skate flap and donor full thickness skin graft from right inner thigh. During the final operation Dr. Mofid also performed a left breast reduction for symmetry.
